4-ingredient Blueberry Dessert

Last week, I felt like dessert but didn’t want something too sugary or processed. I’m all about eating foods with less ingredients so I took a look in my fridge and found just what I needed: blueberries, plain Greek yogurt, cream cheese, and maple syrup.

I don’t have measurements because you can make as much or as little of this as you want. Mix the cream cheese together with the yogurt until smooth(ish). I used a hand mixer, but you can simply mash it together with a spoon if you like. (It won’t diminish from the taste!) I added a bit of maple syrup for sweetness – real maple syrup has minerals and such in it that are good for you which is why I use it as a sweetener on occasion rather than sugar, although all things in moderation! You could also use try using honey which is also healthy for you.

The first time I made it, I simply mixed the blueberries in with the yogurt and cream cheese mixture which was delicious! The second time, I made a blueberry compote and spread it on top like shown in the picture. Even more delicious!

To make the compote, I added blueberries and some maple syrup to a non-stick fry pan – again make as much as you want, keeping in mind how much cream cheese and yogurt you used – and reduced it down to a jam-like texture. Then I spread it on top of the cream cheese and yogurt. It tasted like blueberry cheesecake!

You can use a spoon to eat it, we used taco chips – I’ve made cinnamon sugar taco chips before with another similar dessert, although not this time – the world is your oyster! Although I wouldn’t recommend oysters with this dessert… haha…

Try it out and let me know how it went!

Here’s the YouTube video of my process. Enjoy!
